Our solid wood doors are either composed of engineered pine with 5.5mm oak veneer or are entirely made of oak.
The veneered doors are lighter and more resistant to the elements than solid wood, but they do not have as much impact resistance as a fully oak door.
Oak is a great choice for external doors and it will last longer than the veneered options. However, oak is harder to keep looking new and can be vulnerable to water damage if not treated regularly with hardwood oil or wood conditioner.
Pine is the lightest and most flexible option, but uncoated it will not last as long as oak or veneer. Pine can also be vulnerable to water damage if not treated regularly with hardwood oil.
Our solid wood doors are constructed of either engineered pine with 5.5mm oak veneer or oak. You'll be able to choose from a variety of designs and finishes. Natural wood stains and varnishes, as well as natural oils, are all available, as is the entire RAL colour pallet of paint choices.
Panel and flush designs, wood front doors with glass, including fanlights and sidelights, or a solid wood door are all options.
Our external wooden doors come in single and double leaf designs, with a variety of hardware options ranging from basic to electric locks, fingerprint scanners, and Bluetooth-operated systems, depending on which door you choose.
