Our solid hardwood doors are made entirely of oak or of engineered pine with a 5.5mm oak veneer.
Veneered doors are lighter and more weather resistant than solid wood doors, but they don't have the same impact strength.
Exterior doors made of wood are a great choice since they last longer than veneered doors. If not treated with hardwood oil or wood conditioner on a regular basis, oak, on the other hand, is more difficult to keep looking new and is vulnerable to water damage.
Pine is the lightest and most versatile material, but if left untreated, it will not last as long as oak. If pine isn't treated with hardwood oil on a regular basis, it may succumb to water damage.
Our solid wood doors are made of engineered pine with 5.5mm oak veneer or oak. You'll be able to choose from a variety of styles and finishes. Natural wood stains and varnishes are available, as well as natural oils and the entire RAL colour pallet of paint choices.
