Laminated glass

Laminated glass
Laminated glass consists of two or more glass panes joined together by means of a special film and plastic. It is resistant to tearing. Therefore, in the event of breaking, even violently, it keeps the pieces of glass together, to avoid possible cuts. This film is transparent and marked with the acronym PVB (PolyVinylButyral). Thanks to thermal processes and embossing, it adheres perfectly to the glass, guaranteeing high safety conditions. To provide basic protection against accidents, it is sufficient that the film is at least 0.38 mm or 0.76 mm thick. When laminated glass breaks, it often resembles a spider's web. Shards of glass do not scatter around, but remain in place, attached to the foil, without posing a threat.
